The Malibu Garden Club will host a New Year’s Day Party, January 1, 2024 at Glen and Terry Gessford’s house from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. We will be serving hors d’oeuvres and lunch.

Malibu Garden Club members enjoyed a spectacularly beautiful warm day for the New Year’s Day Party. Someone said It was like sitting on top of the world looking across the valley to the Channel Islands. The American Beauty Jade hedges and Agave Fox Tails were in full bloom we’re in the foreground. The Club. which now has over 60 members, showed up in force to enjoy a catered lunch from Spruzzos and a garden tour lead by host Terry Gessford. The Beet Salad was the Club Favorite followed by the Chocolate Chip Cake made by Yvonne Gelbman. Thank you Yvonne. Also, thanks to our Hospitality Committee of Cory Buckner, and Judy Graham-Bell who prepared new easy to read name tags. Amy Wang brought some delicious Chinese tea eggs. Coming events of the Malibu Garden Club include a February trip to the Annenberg House and lunch at the beach restaurant. On March 23,a gathering will be hosted by Tom and Stephanie Loo and neighbors, Bill and Carol Powell. Tom has a beautiful, rose garden you don’t want to miss .
