To qualify for the Theodore Payne Foundation’s Native Plant Garden Tour (Saturday & Sunday, March 28 and 29, 2020, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.), your garden must be:

  • A residential garden located within Los Angeles County.
  • Planted with a minimum of 50% California native plants.
  • We prefer more established gardens, which means that many of the native plants are approaching their mature size.
  • Free of invasive, non-native species. Examples include fountain grass (Pennisetum), Mexican feather grass (Nassella or Stipa tenuissima), Algerian ivy, and others. Learn more about invasive plants to avoid.

Applications are due by September 1, 2019 and cannot be considered after this date.
